rainette vase [H-W2543]

$42.00

A mini wood-fired vase which include a handmade kanthal wire base (inspired by Japanese kenzan - metal flower frogs*, used to help arrange flowers) which is fired inside the body to display a tiny bouquet or a single short bloom.

50mm x 40mm

*While nobody seems to know why they are called ‘frogs’ in English (the Japanese ‘sword mountain’ makes a lot more sense) they were popularized in the early 20th century and lauded as a ‘time-saver’ for housewives, which is definitely heaps more bullshit than calling them frogs.
