BISQUE FIRING FORM
Firing costs are determined by calculating the volume of each piece. The height and radius of your pieces need to be measured in millimetres (rounded to the nearest 5mm) and entered into the form to calculate the cost.
-
The radius is determined by dividing the rim width (or widest point, for asymetrical pieces) in half.
Handles do not need to be included in the measurement.
Items that measure within 10mm of one another can be entered as multiples of the same line item. Separate line items are required for pieces with a size variance larger than 10mm.
Ugh. Numbers are hard. Do I have to measure it?
Yeah, they are. Yes, you do.
The objective in requiring Members to measure their work is for firing costs to be accurate and fair as well as to encourage thoughtful editing habits.
